Sitesize defines itself as a project
initiator in the hybrid field of social analysis and creative processes.
Its objective is to generate instruments of critical knowledge based on
collective forms of thought and investigation in order to create spaces
for dialogue and set in motion collaborative creation/participation processes.
Local contexts are the privileged work sites for experiencing territories
as new forms of action which, thanks to their creative and purposefullness
character, tend to widen their scope.
Sitesize develops projects related to those aspects of immaterial values
that contribute to the creation of citizen identities. We work with those
cultural forms that provide recognition, representation and the diffusion
of highly cohesive arguments. In the majority of cases, we start from
a commitment to critical evaluation which offers transversal visions and
readings and activate creative dialogue.

The SIT Manresa project, the origin of this book's title, is also the
connecting thread
and starting point of this editorial project. The texts included consist
of collaborations and synergies between people working in different fields
which perfectly complement cultural and artistic work concerned with territory:
geography, landscape, citizen participation, knowledge management, pedagogy,
cultural management...

This project explores the ambivalent relationship between certain cultural
processes that are repeated in different cities (Barcelona and Santiago
de Chile), focusing especially on the ways in wich political offices –
